About Us

In 1993, with funding from the state and federal government and the MacArthur Foundation, the Center for Conservation Reseach & Training was started by Kenneth Kaneshiro at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Pacific Biosciences Research Center.  Over the years other successful projects have been have been administered through the Center for Conservation Research & Training, such as the Hawaii Conservation Alliance, the Hawaii Biodiversity & Mapping Program and the Pacific Islands Climate Change Cooperative. The Center for Conservation Research & Training continues to grow throughout the years and focuses on conservation throughout the pacific.
